Re: Zoom in/out doesn't work when Prepar3D run as IG(Image Generator)
I believe if a view has no zoom or other overrides set, the default would be about 33 degree vertical fov. Horizontal would be based on aspect ratio as Cliff already noted. So assuming 16:9 default side angles would be something like -30 left, 30 right, -16.5 bottom, and 16.5 top. Since your require...

Please try changing SyncMode to "Update". The default sync mode (Pre-Render) isn't supported by the WindowsMR driver. Using it will improve your FPS but the reprojection feature stops working which can cause the image to jump around when you move your head. https://www.prepar3d.com/SDKv5/p...

Re: Help Identifying Odd Graphic Issue Please
The UI hardware acceleration is a WPF setting that is on by default but can be disabled. When we first moved to DirectX 11 we ran into some issues with this because WPF is/was hardware accelerated using DirctX10 and this caused some glitches with our native Dx11 code. Over the years those issues see...

Re: P3D Full Screen bugs second screen
Each monitor has it's own full screen resolution setting in the P3D graphics UI. You can select the display from the drop down and then select the resolution from the other drop down. For the smoothest transition, you should set these to match your desktop resolution. In that case the full screen tr...

Re: Help Identifying Odd Graphic Issue Please
Perhaps check to see if windows gaming bar, or nvidia experience overlays are running. We have had issue in the past, especially with multi-monitor setups, where external graphics overlays and gaming modes cause issues. These different modes /overlays all have settings for disabling them but you may...

Re: FPS Stuck on 30 again
If you rename your Prepar3D.cfg to something like Prepar3D-backup.cfg then P3D will generate a new default file and you can compare the two files to see what differs. The only items that should impact FPS locking would be the frame rate limit and/or vsync. If your FPS drops constantly below 60, then...

Re: VRR/Gsync turns off when the cursor is visible on screen
Sorry that you're experience this issue. If VRR is being forced off, it is the OS forcing it off. It may depend on OS version, graphics devisers, etc. Windows full screen issues in D3D11/12 are difficult to nail down because the OS sets the mode for you based on it's determination of whether or not ...

Re: New Job Scheduler Entries
Not sure why my first post was duplicated by someone else but I think I get how this works. So at install of 5.3 the program should see my CPU and thus adjust the mask to work with it based on my cores count? Yes. Sorry if that wasn't clear. If you leave all that as-is it will behave the same way i...

This fix is specifically to address the case where EA is off. However for clarity, does it help for both EA on/off, or only for EA disabled?
Can you provide more details on the issue your seeing with the sun?Any fix for the Sun with EA off?

Re: New Job Scheduler Entries
Pete, Sorry that you're having this issue. Those affinity settings values look correct. 4095 = 111111111111 which is showing all 12 cores enabled. I don't believe we changed the default behavior of affinity in 5.3. We just write it out now so you can see that we're using under the hood and modify it...

Re: P3D V5.3 Missing Horizon/Atmo Haze
Hello all, We have a shader fix to bring back the horizon fade behavior while maintaining the improvements made to fog blending and curvature correction of layers below the camera. Since it's is a shader-only change, I will post instructions below for those that want to try it before we put out an o...

Re: P3D V5.3 Missing Horizon/Atmo Haze
Can you provide more specifics about your weather and visibility settings, and some screenshots showing the issue? If there are no vis layers at all, try adding a large vis layer with unlimited visibility.
Thanks
Thanks

Re: P3Dv5.1 AMD Radeon Artifacts (White lines & Flickering)
I did some testing on our AMD box and didn't see this issue. I thought maybe it was specific to some cards or drivers but maybe it is triggered by specific settings. Strangely, the flickering started after I deleted the prepare.cfg and Prepare3D created a new one. I had created a backup of the previ...

Re: New Job Scheduler Entries
The main advantage of HT on is that you double your logical cores. Having more cores can speed up terrain and auto-gen streaming. If you move the camera too quickly the paging system can get behind which causes things like blurry ground textures and missing blocks of autogen buildings and trees. Phy...
